“The library in summer is the most wonderful thing because there you get books on any subject and read them each for only as long as they hold your interest, abandoning any that don’t, halfway or a quarter of the way through if you like, and store up all that knowledge in the happy corners of your mind for your own self and not to show off how much you know or spit it back at your teacher on a test paper.”

If only classes were taught on the beach…

It’s the end of summer and the Pace Publishing Blog is taking a hiatus until the start of the new semester, Wednesday,

September 4th. We hope you enjoy the time left before fall starts, and get all the great fiction in you can before you’re back to the academic life. Remember that the digital media lab schedule will be changing when the new semester starts, look out for updates on the blog for the new schedule.

While you’re lounging on the beach, pool, or park, take a look at theweek.com for a feature on the very first issues of magazines & images of their covers. This article was picked up by BoSacks, a great newsletter for publishing professionals. Take a look at their site for more great finds.
