After an eventful week full of authors and bibliophiles relishing in the love of books, the Brooklyn Book Fair came to an end on September 30th. One of our students in the MS in Publishing Program, Misha Puello Brasil, attended and offered commentary on her experience.

Misha : “Brooklyn Book Fest was an amazing experience. It was wonderful to be surrounded by book lovers who would withstand the rain to support their community. While walking around, I couldn’t resist from stopping at every booth to see their selection and get to know my larger book-loving community. I was able to network with professionals and peers who are just as inspired by literature as I am, and I was able to broaden my horizons meeting various writing groups, imprints, and writers. Many free goodies were acquired and way too much money was spent , but it was so worth it. It was encouraging and exhilarating to see how many people were joined together by passion and love”.

We are elated that Misha was able to experience such a wonderful event and got to network with a variety of people in the book community. It is always fulfilling to meet like minded individuals with similar interests and aspirations. We hope that more of our students and any book lovers out there can visit the Brooklyn Book Fest next year!
