Here at the Publishing blog we bring you a curated list of book and magazine events in New York every Friday geared towards the student set. We try to find events that are free or cheap, have particular relevance to what we study in class, and are accessible by public transportation. We look for these events through library websites, the Village Voice, and other event listing websites. Another great resource for finding book events is Book Boroughing. This website has a huge calendar of publishing activities: readings, author events, conventions, and other functions.
