Skyhorse Publishing, a New York City-based trade book publisher, is looking to hire an entry-level editorial assistant.
The position’s responsibilities include handling a wide range of assignments, such as writing and producing sales information for upcoming releases, overseeing production on reprints and original titles, author correspondence, market research, and general assistance to the editorial department. Skyhorse Publishing operates a number of imprints, including Arcade Publishing, Sports Publishing, Sky Pony Press, Night Shade Books, Allworth Press, and more, and editorial assistants may be assigned work from any or all of these imprints.
The right candidate will have proven themselves through past work experience and/or internships to be dedicated to beginning and cultivating a career in trade book publishing. Multi-tasking, strong writing skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively are all absolute requirements for this position.

RT Book Reviews is hiring an associate editor to join their print editorial team. Applicants are expected to be readers of genre fiction — especially romance — as well as strong editors familiar with InDesign and style sheets.
The associate editor will coordinate and edit multiple review sections, manage magazine giveaways, interview authors, write features and edit copy. Other responsibilities may include reviewing books, curating books for review and assigning books to our network of reviewers. RT Book Reviews is looking for smart, personable and meticulous candidates who love to talk about books and have 2-4 years of experience in an editorial setting.
