Papercutz Graphic Novels is looking for a Fall Digital Media Intern to provide assistance to the Marketing department. Candidates should have an interest in comic book publishing with a strong background in graphic design and digital marketing. Duties and projects for the summer will include creating digital previews of Papercutz titles, creating graphics for marketing use, assistance with social media campaigns and building and maintenance of Papercutz websites.
Requirements:
-This internship is unpaid. Preference will be given to applicants that can receive college or graduate school credit but credit is not required.
-Must be available 10 hours a week (2 days) to come into the Papercutz office in Manhattan. 10 week internship. (October-December)
-Able to show experience in graphic design.
-A strong interest in publishing and marketing, specifically in comics.
-Must be able to bring your own laptop with Internet and Word Processing abilities for use in the office
Preferred applicants will have basic computer experience with relevant programs including MS Word, email and photo editing software. Preferred applicants will also have experience with online programs such as WordPress, Mailchimp, and various social media platforms.
-Experience using Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and with HTML and CSS is a plus, but not necessary for consideration.
