New York based literary agent Linda Epstein of Emerald City Literary Agency is seeking an intern for 15-hours/week. 5 hours/week at her home office in Long Island (light office work, filing, organizing, screening queries, and doing Internet research), with 10 additional hours/week remotely (reading manuscripts and writing reader reports). Linda represents picture books, middle grade, and young adult fiction and nonfiction.
A strong candidate will love reading children’s literature and be comfortable reading across genres. There is a $50/week stipend plus an endless supply of (self serve) organic, fair trade coffee. Must like dogs (a lot) and have a sense of humor.
