Kelsey Hogan and Nicole Cadavid.

The M.S. in Publishing program would like to formally congratulate Kelsey Hogan and Nicole Cadavid for winning this year’s Robert L. Edgell and William Littleford scholarships! Granted by Connectiv and valued at $1000 each, the scholarships are awarded to students interested in B2B (business-to-business) publishing.

Kelsey Hogan

Hogan is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor of Arts in English (Creative Writing track) and Spanish. As an undergraduate, she helped edit  her university’s literary magazine, Gandy Dancer, and this is where she first discovered her love for publishing. After graduation, Hogan moved to Seville to teach English as a foreign language and immerse herself in the culture of Spain. This is her first semester as an M.S. in Publishing student, and she is looking forward to interning in NYC this summer.

Nicole Cadavid

Cadavid is in her final semester of the program. She is currently interning for Publishers Weekly as an assistant to the Art Director, although she got her start in PW’s book room. She helps the director by creating layouts, making color corrections, manipulating images and illustrations, and creating feature spreads and bestseller charts. Her internship ends in April, and she is looking forward to working in production and graphic design. Ultimately, she would like to end up at a magazine or book publishing house where she can flaunt her own creative style.

Congratulations from the blog, Kelsey and Nicole!
