Jill McBain is the Finance Director for Grand Central Publishing at Hachette Book Group. She partners with GCP’s Publisher to provide strategic insights on the key decisions that shape the future of one of Hachette’s largest divisions. Day-to-day her job involves financially modeling potential acquisitions, liaising with the sales team to project future revenue, and keeping abreast of current trends in the marketplace and their financial implications on the business. In her 12 years at Hachette Book Group, Jill has worked with nearly every publishing division including Orbit, Yen Press, Hachette Audio, and Hachette Books prior landing at Grand Central in 2017. Professor McBain is a graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
