On Thursday, January 23rd ,The MS in Publishing program held their MS in Publishing in-person Orientation. Students, both new and returning, joined faculty in warm introductions and conversation over pizza, donuts, and beverages. With high hopes for the new semester, Student Aide Oriana Galvis Marin and Graduate Assistant Chardonnae Simpson introduced themselves and informed new students about all the wonderful events that take place throughout the semester, as well as mentorship opportunities and traveling opportunities offered to students during their time in the program. Students and faculty also went around the room to introduce themselves. Professor Jodie Cohen will be teaching the Publishing Business Communication course (PUB 631) online this semester, as well as Professor Peggy Samedi, who is teaching the Book Production and Design course (PUB 606) in the classroom this semester.
As we head into the Spring semester and kick off orientation, it is a reminder of new beginnings and endless opportunities for everyone on the horizon. We thank everyone who attended and look forward to a productive semester.
