On Friday, September 12, publishing professionals and students will gather at the auditorium of Scholastic’s Headquarters for the seminar “The Only Latine in the Room: How to Advocate for Latinx Stories” as part of the Latinx Storytellers Annual Conference. It will be a professional skill-building opportunity as well as a safe space for conversation around identity, representation, and empowerment. Attendees will gather not just to learn, but to connect, heal, and amplify Latinx narratives in publishing and plan potential mentorship and partnership opportunities.

The Panelists

Attendees will learn from distinguished voices across the publishing field, including:

Following the seminar, attendees are invited to a dedicated networking also hosted at the Scholastic Headquarters. This post-panel gathering offers a more informal setting for participants to connect with panelists, peers, and fellow publishing professionals across departments, from editorial to sales, design, and marketing.
