Brian Young is an alumnus of McGill University and currently serves as VP of IT Applications at Penguin Random House in New York. In his 20+ years of industry experience, Brian has held several positions up and down the corporate hierarchy in trade publishing technology as well as in the fields of EdTech, mobile app development, and natural language processing. In his work life, Brian is a continuous learner, an active and caring mentor, and an organizer and promoter of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. As an adjunct professor Brian brings to the MS in Publishing program a collaborative, customer-centric, process-oriented technology approach with both startup and big corporate experience. In his home life, Brian is a diligent dishwasher (and sometime cook), dog-walker, lunch maker, and homework helper.
