On December 12th, the MS in Publishing Program at Pace University hosted its annual Student/Alumni Networking Event and End of Year Celebration, and it was a festive success! The event, held in Student Center West at 1 Pace Plaza, brought together students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals alike for an evening filled with warmth, laughter, celebration, and spirit.

Adorned with holiday-themed photo props, a photo backdrop for taking pictures, and a great holiday playlist, the space exuded holiday cheer. Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of appetizers, desserts, and beverages, with some treats generously provided by the Pace Catering staff. A highlight of the evening was the lemon bars, vegetable samosas, and a fantastic cracker and cheese selection—perfect for the chilly December evening.

The program’s Director Professor Manuela Soares also delivered a warm speech, thanking everyone for their hard work throughout the semester and celebrating the program’s achievements in 2024. Special recognition was given to student aide Oriana Galvis Marin for her recent win of the Women’s Media Group Scholarship, as well as to students, alumni, and staff, who have contributed significantly to the program’s events and initiatives.

Conversation and spirits were high as people mingled and networked or were smiling ear to ear from seeing a former classmate and friend. As the party wound down, raffle prizes were awarded, with winners taking home items like mugs filled with candy,”swag bags”, and other goodies.
